믿어지지 않는 것을 억지로 믿으려 하지 말 것.

의심할 것. 가능한 한 모든 것을 의심할 것.

소설가라는 직업은 사회적으로 존경 받는 합법적인 사기꾼이라는 생각 같은 것.

어떻게 이런 일이 가능할까?

장르에 속해 있는 엔터테이너이기 때문일까?

사람들에게 좋은 영향을 끼치면 거짓말을 해도 괜찮은 걸까?

다양한 생각과 다양한 시선으로 세상을 들여다보고 검증하는 과정을 거칠 것.

이렇게 해나가다 보면 삶이 더욱 단단해지지 않을까 하는 생각.
